My furry Valentine Adopt-A-Thon

Animal Rescue League of El Paso dressed up two of their residents for a Valentine's Day photo shoot to help promote them for adoption.

You could find a new love and furry Valentine this weekend at the Fountains of Farah.

The Animal Rescue League of El Paso and PetSmart are hosting their 3rd annual Adopt-A-Thon Saturday from 12-4 p.m. on the amphitheater lawn at the Fountains of Farah shopping center.

Several rescues of all ages and breeds will be at the event looking for their forever home. All dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, registered with the city and come with a “Go Home Kit”; adoption cost is $125.

If you can't adopt you can still join the fun with your furry friend! There will be a professional photographer on site to take Valentine's day pictures of your pet.

You can also enter your pet in the “Snazzy Valentine Costume Contest” and win some great prizes along with bragging rights.

Attendees can also make crafts, enjoy treats at the Nothing Bundt Cake bake sale and visit the doggy kissing booth.

Throughout the event, there will be Mutt Strutt every hour during the event to show off the rescues who are available for adoption. Each Mutt will be accompanied by a Twin Peaks Girl.

While at the event you can also pick up this Valentine's day shirt at the ARL Pawtique booth. The shirt says "My Dog is My Valentine," and is $20. All funds will go to the rescue and aid them in their efforts to save animals.

If you can't make it out to the Adopt-A-Thon Saturday the Animal Rescue League will be at the Upper Valley Artist and Famers Market Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with more pups looking for their forever homes.
