While many are gearing up to celebrate Halloween next week animal advocates are gearing up to celebrate cats.
Monday is National Cat Day and it’s an annual celebration that lands on October 29th.
The day was created by Colleen Paige, a pet and family life style expert. Its purpose is to celebrate feline friends, break stereotypes and bring awareness to over population of cats and great number that are homeless throughout the U.S.
More cats than dogs enter shelters across the US yearly, less are adopted which means more are euthanized.
Spaying and Neutering is always encouraged along with adoption, fostering and volunteering.
There are many ways to join in on National Cat Day one easy way is to share a picture of your feline friends with us!
Chime in and upload your picture.
