Kelly Anne plays zookeeper for a day

Every week, morning anchor and reporter, Kelly Anne Beile, hits the streets of El Paso to take on a new job in the Borderland.

For this week's "Kelly Anne: Do My Job," I head over to the El Paso Zoo to spend some quality time with the world's tallest land animal. According to zookeeper Eric Esquivel, giraffes can grow up to 19 feet and weigh close to two tons.

In a typical day during the winter season, giraffes spend the majority of their time indoors. The animals have ample room to roam inside, considering giraffes do not go outside unless the temperature is at least 50 degrees.

Zookeepers are in charge of caring for the animals. Their responsibilities include cleaning the habitat for the animal.
