Las Cruces, NM — The athletic department at New Mexico State University has a lot to be proud of, especially when it comes to football.
The program ended a 57-year drought at the end of the 2017-18 season with a trip to a bowl game. NMSU defeated the Utah St. Aggies 26-20 to win the Arizona Bowl in Tucson.
The Aggies also reign strong in the Battle of I-10, having won the previous two match-ups against UTEP. The Mayor's Cup trophy, more commonly referred to as the Brass Spittoon, sits in the trophy case just outside the Athletic Director's office.
For this segment of "Do My Job," I step into the shoes of John Vu, assistant athletic director and media relations contact for football, men's basketball and men's and women's tennis.
