'Do My Job': El Paso meal prep location offers affordable alternative to fast food

KFOX14 morning news anchor Kelly Anne Beile interviews Chef Aurelio Garcia in the kitchen at Evolution, a kitchen by Get Fit El Paso.

Armando Garcia and Aurelio Garcia are partners in Evolution, a fit kitchen concept by Get Fit El Paso. For this week's "Do My Job" segment, I shadow Chef Aurelio as he prepares multiple plates of the best-selling dish, cilantro lime chicken.

Portion size is hefty, with the chicken weighing in at 5 ounces per meal. We added brown rice, broccoli and a side container of fresh made-in-house cilantro lime sauce.

The list of meals available at Evolution is extensive and it changes every two weeks. If you are interested in learning more about the latest meals available, visit the Evolution Facebook page. The business also has a walk-in option which allows you to stop by at a time most convenient to your schedule and leave with meals in hand.

Pricing for 10 meals starts at just $55, or $5.50 per meal. An article published by Business Insider in 2015 says the average cost for a fast-food meal is $12.17 per person.
