Carpe Diem: Juvenile Diabetes

Audrey Pidgeon is a fourth grader at a local elementary school. Two years ago she was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes and has had to learn quickly how to keep her sugar regulated.

It's an involved process for someone still trying to master division and fractions with the rest of her class.

In this segment of Carpe Diem, the well-spoken and poised 9 year old tries to demonstrate what it's like in the day of a kid with juvenile diabetes. Audrey's mother is the co-founder the Sweet Baby James 5k run coming up November 5th. Audrey hopes besides raising funds for research, that some support groups for children her age will be organized.
