Beams for new twin US 85 moving in Sunday forcing more overnight closures

As crews bring in beams to construct new US 85 overpass at Sunland Park drivers should prepare for more overnight closures.

There will be more overnight closures starting Sunday into next week for the Go10 closures as crews move massive beams in to build the new twin US 85 (Paisano Drive) overpass at Sunland Park Drive.

According to project planners the new overpass new overpass will be comprised of two westbound bridges unlike the original that only had one.

The new US 85 will have on bridge to connect drivers to I-10’s collector-distributor (CD) lanes, and the other to connect them to the westbound Sunland Exit Ramp.

You can take a virtual tour of the new I-10 and US 85 interchange from both east and westbound lanes.
