Update: Man arrested in brother's stabbing in east El Paso

EL PASO, Texas More information was released about at east El Paso stabbing that sent one person to the hospital.

Police said a man stabbed his 22-year-old brother early Tuesday morning.

As KFOX14 previously reported, the victim was taken to Del Sol Medical Center after being stabbed repeatedly at a home on the 10800 block of Saigon Drive.

The incident happened around 5 a.m. near Edgemere Elementary School and caused Ysleta Independent School District officials to place the school under a modified lockdown as a precaution.

The police investigation revealed that Aaron Yepez, 24, and his brother Isaac Yepez were drinking and started arguing.

Aaron Yepez then stabbed his brother multiple times, police said.

He was found by authorities at a nearby residence and was arrested.

Aaron Yepez was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon/family violence. He was booked into the county jail with bail set at $25,000.
