Padres call up Cody Decker
EL PASO, TX -- There aren't many people in El Paso who have really endeared to the city like Chihuahuas infielder Cody Decker. Over his two years in the Sun City, Decker became known for everything from his towering homers to his Twitter antics to his philanthropic work.
Fans in San Diego can now get to experience the same.
The 28-year old Decker was promoted to the Padres Sunday, he announced on Twitter.
Decker broke the news on the social media platform saying [sic], "I've wait my entire life today this......'I AM A BIG LEAGUER!' Thanks you to everyone who has ever supported me!"
A PCL all-star in 2015, Decker lead the Chihuahuas in homers (21) and runs batted in (75).
San Diego opens a three-game set in Arizona on Monday.
