Chihuahuas drop game one on the road

Fresno, CALIFORNIA-- It was a rocky start to the playoffs for the El Paso Chihuahuas as the team lost its first playoff game Wednesday night.

The Fresno Grizzlies had too much offense for the Chihuahuas, winning by a score of 9-1. El Paso's only run came off a homer hit by major league veteran Will Middlebrooks.

Game two is Thursday night. First pitch is scheduled for 8:05 p.m. MT.

The teams return to El Paso on Friday for the rest of the 5-game series.
