Recall Alert: Chrysler, hummus and ravioli

Hummus recall

Chrysler has issued a recall for 209,135 minivans over an issue with the air bags. The automaker reports that the driver-side front air bag could deploy unexpectedly if the wiring harness gets chafed within the steering wheel and short circuits.

The 2011-2012 Dodge Grand Caravan minivans are affected by this recall. Chrysler will notify owners, who will need to take the cars in for a free repair starting on July 28.

Meanwhile, House of Thaller has recalled three brands of hummus due to a possible listeria monocytogenes contamination. The contamination is believed to stem back to the pine nut supplier.

The following products are affected by this recall:

-- Fresh Food Market Artisan Hummus - Pine Nuts with expiration dates ranging from June 23 to Aug. 17

-- Lantana White Bean Hummus with Pine Nut & Herb Topping with expiration dates ranging from June 19 to Aug. 15

-- Marketside Classic Hummus with Pine Nuts with expiration dates ranging from June 29 to June 28

The hummus was sold in HEB, Target and Walmart stores nationwide between April and June.

There have been no confirmed reports of people getting sick from the hummus but customer are asked to throw it out and contact the company at 855-215-5142.

Finally, the Wornick Co. has issued a recall for nearly 61,538 pounds of beef ravioli products that might have undeclared allergens.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced that the ravioli might have been made with undeclared milk, which can make someone with a dairy allergy sick.

The following products are affected by this recall:

-- 14.5-ounce Sam’s Choice Asian Style Beef Woton Ravioli with an expiration date of Feb. 22-March 28, 2018.

The ravioli has an establishment number of ES. 19076 and was shipped to retail stores nationwide.

There have been no confirmed reports of people getting sick but customers are asked to throw the ravioli out or return it to the store for a refund.
