Residents are dealing with costly damages after vandals spray-painted obscene images on cars throughout the city.

Police started receiving reports on Sunday morning from residents who said their cars had lewd images spray-painted on them.

Police said they’ve received four reports while the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said they are working on one case, but residents believe there are more cases.

One vehicle still had paint on it after it was cleaned, and the rest of the paint will have to be professionally removed.

An AT&T van was tagged as well, and the owner said he’s not too worried because the company will pay to fix it. But others aren’t so lucky.

“They don't know how hard my parents have worked to get me this car, and how much they work to get nice things for me,” said Ana Babcock, a Horizon City resident. “And for them to just come and spray paint all over it, it's really disrespectful to me and my family and anybody else who's had this happen to them.”

Police are in the process of interviewing victims, gathering evidence and reviewing home surveillance footage to find out who is responsible for the damage.
