Roswell man arrested for transporting stolen trailer and motorcycle

LAS CRUCES, N.M.- Police say man was arrested Tuesday morning after he stole a trailer and motorcycle.

Las Cruces police said a trailer and 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle were stolen from a residence on the 800 block of East Idaho Avenue Monday morning.

Tuesday morning, two officers saw a white truck towing a trailer and motorcycle near Valley Drive and Rigsby Road.

The officers stopped the white truck, driven by 57-year-old Ross Hensel, of Roswell New Mexico, and confirmed that the trailer and motorcycle were stolen, police said.

Hensel was charged with one count of possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center with a bond set at $5,000.

Police said the trailer and motorcycle have been returned to the owner.
