LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KFOX14) —
A 7-year-old boy told his mother he was sexually abused three years ago by a Las Cruces man.
Justin S. Gillette, 22, was arrested Tuesday by Las Cruces police.
Police said Gillette sexually assaulting the boy when he was 4 years old and threatening to harm him if he told anyone.
Investigators said the boy told his mother about the incidents in April, but the mother did not report the allegations to them until May.
Investigators said during their investigation they learned that Gillette made the boy watch pornographic videos and sexually assaulted him at least three times.
Gillette is charged with three first-degree felony counts of criminal sexual penetration of a minor and one third-degree felony count of bribery of a witness.
A warrant was issued Tuesday for Gillette’s arrest. He was taken into custody later that day and booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center where he’s being held on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
