Police looking for man suspected of robbing Las Cruces Whataburger

Police in Las Cruces are looking for a man suspected of robbing a Whataburger restaurant in early May.

Police said the man walked into the Whataburger located at 375 S. Telshor Blvd. shortly after midnight on May 10.

The man approached the employee and told the employee he was armed with a gun, police said. Police said no gun was ever displayed.

The man took an unknown amount of money and fled the scene, according to police. He was last seen heading east toward a Home Depot store.

The man is described as white and in his late teens or 20’s, with an unkempt or scruffy face. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and jeans, and was not wearing shoes.

A surveillance camera shows the man with his shirt pulled over his head.

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the man.
