Man suspected of robbing 4 El Paso laundromats, 1 pizza restaurant

El Paso police have arrested a man believed to be responsible for a string of robberies in the westside

James Sheehan, 56, was taken into custody Friday and charged with five aggravated robberies.

Detectives said the crimes were reported between December and February. Sheehan is accused of robbing Supreme Laundry at 6990 Westwind three times, on Dec. 10, Feb. 13 and Feb. 22.

He is also accused of robbing Eagle Laundry at 7204 N. Mesa on Dec. 10.

Sheehan robbed Little Caesars at 6310 N. Mesa on Feb. 18, police said.

He was pulled over for a traffic violation on Feb. 23, and detectives said they were able to connect Sheehan to the robberies.

He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for violation of probation and five counts of aggravated robbery.
