A Las Cruces woman accused of breaking and entering was spotted inside a home by a caretaker, police said.

Alaynah Trinks, 27, was arrested Tuesday after officers were dispatched to the incident on the 1800 block of Boston Drive.

Police learned that a caretaker for the property found Trinks inside the home, called police and followed the woman as she left.

Police said Trinks broke a window to the home and was seen inside one of the bedrooms.

Officers found the woman on Corbett Drive, but she gave them a fake name and date of birth, police said.

Trinks faces one count each of concealing identity and breaking and entering.

She was booked into the county jail and is initially being held without bond.
