Las Cruces police searching for 10-year-old girl who fled from home

Jaylisa Lara was last seen on the 4800 block of Calle Bella whenshe rode away on her bicycle on Dec. 22, 2017, according to police.

Police are asking for the public’s help to find a 10-year-old girl who fled from her home Friday evening.

Jaylisa Lara was last seen on the 4800 block of Calle Bella when she rode away on her bicycle, police said.

Police are concerned for the girl’s well-being, as near-freezing temperatures are expected overnight.

She is described as 4 feet 8 inches tall, with brown eyes and brown hair, and weighs about 70 pounds. She also has a burn mark on the right side of her face.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a lace navy blue top with pink flowers.

Anyone with information on the girl’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Mesilla Valley Regional Dispatch at 575-526-0795.
