'Jugging' crew from Houston arrested in El Paso

Devante Marquis Tasho, 23; Travion Ja Bre Beaudoin, 22; and Marnell Laray White, 23 were taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

Three men from Houston are accused of following victims from banks and stealing from them.

"Jugging," as it's called, is when criminals watch people visiting a bank or ATM and then follow their potential victims to their next location and burglarize their vehicle, according to Sgt. Enrique Carrillo of the El Paso Police Department.

Devante Marquis Tasho, 23; Travion Ja Bre Beaudoin, 22; and Marnell Laray White, 23, were taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

Tuesday morning, a victim withdrew money from a bank; later, items left inside his vehicle were stolen.

Police officers who responded to the burglary of a vehicle call found the suspects' vehicle at another bank.

The next day, police and troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety followed the suspects to at least a dozen banks throughout El Paso, said Carrillo.

Carrillo said authorities witnessed the suspects at a bank in east El Paso follow a man to a store.

They said the suspects broke into the man’s car and stole two guns from his vehicle while he was inside the store.

The suspects’ vehicle was finally pulled over and Brown, Beaudoin and White were arrested.

Each of them is facing theft of a firearm, burglary of a vehicle and criminal trespass charges.

Their bonds were set at $12,500 each.
