Fort Bliss man accused of killing man pleads not guilty
EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14) —
A Fort Bliss solider says he didn’t kill the man who was found dead in January near Hueco Tanks.
Cornelius D. Harrison is accused of killing Frank Hernandez on Jan. 5.
Hernandez, 22, was found lying on the road by a passerby that evening in the 4400 block of Stagecoach Drive.
Harrison’s police report said an argument between Hernandez and Harrison prompted the incident.
The complaint affidavit said a witness told detectives that Harrison claimed Hernandez was stealing from him, but the witness didn't expect Harrison to kill him.
Harrison pleaded not guilty during an arraignment hearing Thursday.
He is expected to be back in court on Nov. 2 for his trial.
