The El Paso Independent School District is taking suggestions of names for its new consolidated campuses.

The district is asking the public for input on names for the following campuses that will be consolidated:

Bradley/Fannin Elementary School

MacArthur/Bonham Pre-K*

Morehead/Johnson Pre-K to 8

Terrace Hills/Collins Pre-K to 8

Those interested in submitting a name may do so from now until March 19.

Use the school name nomination form and email the form to, with the subject line “nomination for (insert school name).”

Additional documentation may be submitted along with the form.

EPISD officials said each campus will form a school-name committee to review and rate name suggestions using EPISD policy. The district’s board of trustees will make the final decision on the names.

Applicants should consider the following guidelines when submitting the names:

1. A school may be named after an individual who has made exceptional contributions to public education, preferably to the district or to society.

2. The individual must represent exemplary human qualities or serve as a model of excellence for the students who will attend the school.

3. The individual shall not be an employee at the time of consideration or selection of the name.

4. Diversity shall be given consideration in selecting a school name.

5. Names of geographic areas, landmarks or academic-educational functions also may be considered.
