A deadly collision happened along Gateway South Boulevard near the Transmountain ramp at 10:46 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

A light-gray Ford pickup truck wound up on its side as a result of the crash.

The investigation revealed Elizabeth Cline was eastbound in a 2010 Ford Ranger on Transmountain and ran the red light at Gateway South.

Cady Wenefrenda was southbound on Gateway South when the Ford Ranger struck his 2007 Chevrolet pickup.

The impact caused the Ford Ranger to roll over and come to rest against a concrete barrier, police said.

Cline was taken to University Medical Center, where she later died.

This is the 37th traffic-related fatality of 2017 compared with 46 during the same period of 2016.

The investigation continues.
