Just in time for summer, a new hands-on learning center is celebrating its grand opening Thursday.

Learning and fun come together this morning with the new interactive leaning center for children.

The program, Tiny Xplorers, is the first of its kind to come to the borderland.

Tiny Xplorers provides an active social environment for children while integrating science, technology, engineering and math into fun explorations.

The new center will also be offering summer camps for children such as Lego camp.

Tiny Xplorers will also feature play areas such as Hometown Hero, which honors community leaders from the Sun City.

People I spoke with today say this is something that will excite kids to learn new skills while having fun.

“Today we need to educate the kids so bringing the kids something with technology with games, it’s gonna be very very interesting for the kids,” Jose Torres said.

Tiny Xplorers will be opening its doors to the public for its grand opening ceremony at 11 a.m. in East El Paso on Rojas Drive.
