Weekend events happening June 8-10

Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest makes its way to Fort Bliss on Saturday. From 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., the family-friendly event will feature inflatables, giveaways, free samples, games and more.

Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest makes its way to Fort Bliss on Saturday. From 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., the family-friendly event will feature inflatables, giveaways, free samples, games and more. The hot dog eating contest is at 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The Las Cruces Farmers and Crafts Market will take place Saturday along Main Street. The market features multiple vendors and food trucks. The market opens at 8:30 a.m. and closes at 1 p.m.

On Sunday, the Canutillo Alumni Foundation for Education will host a fundraiser at Topgolf. The event is from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. and is intended to raise scholarship funds for graduates of Canutillo High School and Northwest Early College High School. Prizes, lunch and dinner will be provided. On Saturday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Whole Foods Market will host Second Saturday which is a market featuring artists, artisans, vintage resale vendors, collectibles, vinyl and more. The event is held in partnership with the El Paso Punk Rock Flea Market. Food and craft beer is always available for purchase in the Thunderbird Lounge, located inside Whole Foods Market.
