Apple users find issue with newest operating system
El Paso, TEXAS —
Apple users may be having difficulty with the new operating system, iOS11, auto-correcting the letter "I" to the letter "A" with a symbol next to it. Apple says it is working on a solution. In the interim, see below for what you can do as a work-around on your iPhone and/or iPad.
The company recommends using text replacement as a short-term solution.
Heres what to do - go to Settings and then, General. Next, tap on Keyboard and Text Replacement. Then, click on the (plus sign) in the top right corner. Beside phrase, type upper case "I," and beside shortcut, type lower case "i." Tap Save in the top right.
While the bug is persistent throughout several different apps, not everyone is affected.
