Kids choose apples as favorite healthy treat
A new study suggests children like apples the most when it comes to fruit. A study published in Pediatrics finds apples account for almost 19% of fruit intake among people ages 2 to 19.
Apples, along with apple juice, citrus juice and bananas made up almost half of fruit consumption. While kids are eating about 1.25 cups of fruit a day, the U.S. Department of Agriculture say children should eat up to 2 cups of fruit per day.
