EL PASO, Texas -- A video of a Florida teen getting assaulted has gone viral on Facebook and led to the arrest of an 18-year-old man.

The video shows a man punching and kneeing a teen who is on the ground. According to WPTV in Florida, the victim is a 16-year-old boy with autism.

The Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook that although they weren't involved in the investigation, the police department arrested Andrew Wheeler, 18, and he was charged with felony child abuse.

WPTV reports the victim attended a party and consumed alcohol and was told to go outside to fight someone. The victim refused and that's when Wheeler appeared.

A doctor said the victim received a sprained neck, facial and scalp contusions and a concussion, WPTV reported.

An officer was able to connect Wheeler to the incident after his name was tagged to a Facebook profile where the video was posted.

Wheeler is being held in the Okeechobee County Jail with bail set at $20,000.
