Scoop on Savings: Deals on National Margarita Day

National Margarita Day is Wednesday, Feb. 22.

There are many good options in the Borderland, but I’ve narrowed it down to some of the best places serving up the deals.

A local favorite is Carlos & Mickey’s. Their margaritas are said to be very popular locally.

Wednesday, you can get one dollar off their Texas Margarita, $3.50 all day for their regular margarita, and only $6.50 for their Kiss and Tell margarita.

The Kiss and Tell normally sells for $11, and that deal will run until the end of February.

Another local joint with great deals is the Angry Owl in west El Paso.

They’re offering $3 off their Owl Margarita, $5 off their Fruity Margarita, and $3 off all the rest of their margaritas.

If you opt for the more Tex-Mex feel, Austin-based restaurant Chuy’s has some great offers.

Customers can get a dollar off frozen raspberry margaritas, and one dollar floaters all day Wednesday.

Plus, Chuy’s offers a free, fully-loaded nacho car for happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m.

If you plan on drinking, you need to also plan on getting a safe ride home.

El Paso’s NO DUI program will get you a free taxi cab ride to your preferred destination.

Their number is 915-212-7777.

And of course, living in a border town has its perks.

There’s always the option to go to The Kentucky Club in Juarez, where they claim to be one of the inventors of the margarita. Prices there are a steal!
