Scoop on Savings – Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo has many great deals for people to enjoy in the Borderland.

We’re creeping closer to Cinco de Mayo!

A popular Borderland restaurant knows exactly how to serve up the perfect margaritas and a great meal.

That’s Los Bandidos de Carlos and Mickey’s.

This Friday, all regular-sized margaritas will be $3.50. Their El Paso-sized Strawberry Margarita will be $6.50 all May-long. They’re typically $11. Tecates are $2.

But it’s not just food they’ve got deals on.

Carlos & Mickey’s is having a special on Cinco de Mayo on their carnitas. The Jalisco lunch combo, with tea, is $6.99. The dinner combo is $8.99.

Before it gets too hot, you can go to the Mariachi Loco Music Festival in downtown El Paso.

This Cinco de Mayo, the festival is returning with tequila, tacos and mariachis. Admission is free and gates open at 3 p.m.

The festival will feature the band Los Cuates de Sinaloa.

Chuy’s is new to the borderland, and it’s already packed with tons of deals for Cinco de Mayo.

On Friday, they’ll have all-day drink specials on their famous frozen margaritas, floaters and Corona Extra USA.

It’ll be a dollar off their Coronas and floaters, and don’t forget their free, fully loaded nacho car during happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m.

But it doesn’t stop there! Chuy’s is starting their celebrations a day early with their Cuatro de Mayo specials.

On Thursday, they’ll have $1 floaters and a dollar off Coronas from 4 to 9 p.m.
