DALEVILLE, Ala. (WPMI) - The Wiregrass Humane Society has reported the loss of All Breeds Rescue in Daleville to a fire. The owner, Jane Clancy, was killed in the fire as she tried to save the animals housed in the rescue facility.

Clancy was 75 years old and had nearly 100 dogs and cats at the rescue shelter.

Investigators say they believe this was just a tragic accident, as there was nothing suspicious about the fire.

Several rescue groups are working to find homes for the 48 animals that survived.
