Beards and facials
EL PASO, Texas - No shave November has become one of the biggest yearly campaigns for awareness about men's health issues.
A University of Texas at El Paso student said growing a beard is not the easiest thing to do.
"I think one of the hardest things is just adjusting to it. Eating is difficult. A lot of things in the mustache, like wings, burgers, are hard to eat and things that I really enjoy," Ryan said.
The challenge of growing and maintaining a beard actually spawned Gentlemen's Republic, a local business specializing in men's grooming needs.
Owner Laura Sanchez conceptualized the barber salon where men not only get their no shave November beards groomed but also get their skin cared for.
The salon brought back the hot lather shave so that men can also have a facial to go with it.
